We want to create a festival where everyone can feel as comfortable as possible. We can only achieve this if we all pull together and if we agree on the basic principles and values of Stramehl ’25. Please read the consensus carefully, as it is not optional.
The consensus applies to all visiting people – including the organizing team and helping hands. Everyone should ensure that they treat each other with respect. By this we mean interaction with one another that is free from physical, emotional or verbal violence. Respectful interaction also includes mindfulness: show solidarity, help your fellow human beings and ask too many questions to make sure they are okay rather than too few.
We are against discrimination of any kind, as we want to create a more equal and inclusive society. We take cases of
- discrimination based on ethnic origin or skin color,
- sexism,
- queerphobia,
- transphobia,
- ableism,
- religious discrimination,
- and body shaming,
very seriously, as these have no place at our festival. In case of violations, you can contact the awareness team and we will ensure appropriate consequences, which may include expulsion from the festival. If you have any concerns or questions regarding accessibility or inclusivity during the festival, you can contact us at any time.
Consent is not only sexy, it’s non-negotiable. A yes means yes and a no means no. Always ask respectfully and accept the answer of the other person(s). We understand our awareness concept as “victim-centered”. This means that the well-being of the person concerned is our priority. All concerns are taken seriously and we do our best to find a solution that makes the person concerned feel comfortable. And last but not least: you can contact us at any time if you have further questions or suggestions! Just send us an email to awareness@kulturkraftwerk-ev.de.
